0→1 Product Builds
I design and build the first real version of your backend: the API, the data model, auth, payments, and the deploy pipeline. Lean and pragmatic, scoped to ship and to hand off.
- You have a prototype or a Figma, not a backend
- You need to ship to real users this quarter
- You want to own the code, not rent an agency
- You’d rather avoid a rewrite in year two
What I do
- Architecture & data-model design
- API + auth + payments
- CI/CD, environments & secrets
- Observability from day one
- Pragmatic test coverage
What you get
- A running, deployed backend
- A documented API
- Infra-as-code & runbooks
- A short architecture-decision-record set
- A handoff walkthrough

Common questions
Most work is fixed-scope or capped: after a discovery call we agree on a written scope, milestones, and a price before any code is written. Ongoing work runs as a monthly retainer with reserved days. You always know the number up front — no hourly meter running in the background.
You do. All work product — code, infrastructure-as-code, and documentation — is assigned to you on payment, under a standard work-for-hire / IP-assignment clause in the contract. The only exceptions are my pre-existing open-source tools, used under their open licenses.
No. I’ll work in your stack — I’m language-agnostic on principle. My “stack” page is where I’m fastest, not a list of requirements. For greenfield work I’ll recommend deliberately boring, maintainable choices and explain the trade-offs.
